My classes are appropriate for those who are completely new to yoga and for those who want to go back to the foundations of asana (poses). We will use breath work, or pranayama, precise alignment and meditation. I will support you in decomposing asana to set you up with a good foundation to develop your practice. or the more experienced, this is an opportunity to refine your practice and alignment to develop a deeper understanding of how one pose can lead you to the next or how you find other poses are within a pose, for example, it has been said that ‘there is Tadasana in every pose’.
The fluidity of these classes will build as we move through the term, yet there will always be levels and options for you to take the practice to the place that serves you best at that time. Each class will be themed to focus on different areas of the physical body and elements of yoga.
Each class is themed; I will offer you to dedicate your practice to an intention or a mantra to support the feeling state, or bhavana, that the practice cultivates.
